AI-generated content. Klaire uses AI to generate personalised responses based on your financial data. When you ask Klaire a question, a summary of your data is sent to Anthropic's Claude AI API to produce your answer. Document uploads. Documents you upload are sent securely to Anthropic's AI for analysis and are not stored by Klaire after processing. Do not upload documents containing full SSNs or passwords.

What we collect. Only what you voluntarily enter: your name, approximate income, financial goals, transactions, bills, subscriptions, budgets, and debts. When you create an account, we also collect your email for login and account recovery.
How it's stored. Your data is stored securely on Klaire's servers and synced across your devices. It is encrypted in transit and at rest. You can export or delete your data at any time from Settings.
AI and your data. When you chat with Klaire, a summary of your financial data is sent to Anthropic's AI API to generate your personalised response. We do not sell this data or use it for advertising.
No data selling. We do not sell, rent, or share your financial data with advertisers or data brokers. Ever.
Bank linking. Optional bank account linking (when available) is opt-in only, handled by a regulated third-party provider, and can be disconnected at any time.
Under 18. Klaire is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

Klaire is an AI-powered personal finance companion that helps you understand, organise, and take control of your money. Klaire is operated by Klaire Technologies Inc. ("Klaire", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using Klaire in any form — web, mobile app, or otherwise — you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use Klaire.
You must be at least 18 years old to use Klaire. By using Klaire you represent that you meet this requirement. Klaire is intended for personal, non-commercial use. Use of Klaire for commercial financial advisory, resale, or automated financial product promotion is not permitted.
When you create a Klaire account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, are inactive for an extended period, or are used fraudulently.
Klaire is an organisational and educational tool, not a licensed financial advisor, broker, accountant, or tax professional. Nothing Klaire says constitutes financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. Klaire's AI responses draw on the data you provide and general financial knowledge — they are a starting point for thinking, not a substitute for professional guidance.
For significant decisions — mortgages, investments, tax filings, debt restructuring, insurance — please consult a qualified professional licensed in your jurisdiction. Past calculations shown in Klaire are not guarantees of future outcomes.
Klaire uses artificial intelligence to analyse your financial data and generate personalised insights, responses, and recommendations. AI-generated content may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. Klaire's calculations — available balance, debt payoff timelines, savings rates, tax estimates — are only as accurate as the data you provide.
When you interact with Klaire's AI, a summary of your financial data and your message is sent to Anthropic's Claude AI API over an encrypted connection for processing. This is necessary to deliver personalised responses. See our Privacy Policy for full details on how this data is handled.
Always verify important figures independently before making financial decisions based on Klaire's output.
Klaire allows you to upload financial documents — bank statements, pay stubs, bills, and receipts — for automated analysis. Uploaded documents are transmitted securely to Anthropic's Claude AI API. Klaire does not permanently store uploaded documents after processing is complete; only the data you explicitly choose to save is retained in your account.
Do not upload documents containing full Social Security Numbers, passwords, private keys, or access credentials of any kind. You are solely responsible for the content of documents you upload. Anthropic's usage policies apply to all content transmitted through their API.
Klaire offers a free tier and a paid PRO tier. PRO features are billed on a monthly or annual basis as selected at the time of purchase. All fees are stated in USD and are non-refundable except where required by applicable law or as described in our Refund Policy.
If you subscribe via the App Store or Google Play, billing is handled by Apple or Google respectively and subject to their terms. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or the relevant app store; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.
Klaire may offer optional bank account linking through a regulated third-party financial data provider (such as Plaid or a similar service). This feature is strictly opt-in. Linking your bank account allows Klaire to automatically import transactions and balances. You may disconnect your bank at any time from Settings.
Klaire does not store your bank login credentials. The data connection is handled by the third-party provider under their own terms and privacy policy, which you will be asked to review and accept separately before connecting.
You own your financial data. You can export your transactions at any time from Settings → Export transactions. You can permanently delete all your data from Settings → Clear all data, or by submitting a deletion request through our support channel. Upon account deletion, your data is removed from our servers within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
You agree not to use Klaire to: (a) violate any applicable law or regulation; (b) submit false, misleading, or fraudulent financial information; (c) attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract data from the Klaire platform; (d) transmit malware, spam, or any harmful content; (e) impersonate another person or entity; or (f) use Klaire in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the service.
Klaire's software, design, branding, and content are owned by Klaire Technologies Inc. and protected by applicable intellectual property law. Your financial data belongs to you. You grant Klaire a limited licence to store and process your data solely for the purpose of providing the service. We do not claim ownership of your data.
Klaire is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of inaccuracies. Financial markets, tax laws, and personal circumstances change — Klaire may not always reflect the most current information.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Klaire and its operators, directors, employees, and agents are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to financial losses, arising from your use of or reliance on Klaire. Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to Klaire in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of Klaire that cannot be resolved informally will be submitted to binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, on an individual (not class-action) basis.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you via email (if you have an account) or via an in-app notice at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of Klaire after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Klaire Technologies Inc. ("Klaire", "we", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, how it is used and stored, and your rights regarding that data. Klaire is designed with a privacy-first approach: we collect only what is necessary to deliver the service, and we do not sell your data.
Klaire collects the information you voluntarily enter, which may include: your name or nickname, approximate income and pay schedule, financial goals and target amounts, transactions, bills, subscriptions, budgets, debts, and profile preferences. When you create an account, we also collect your email address to enable login, account recovery, and service notifications.
We do not collect your Social Security Number, full bank account numbers, credit card numbers, or government-issued ID through the Klaire interface. If you connect a bank account via a third-party provider, that connection is handled entirely by that provider — see section 7.
Your financial data — transactions, bills, budgets, goals, and debts — is stored securely on Klaire's servers and synchronised across your devices. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit using industry-standard TLS. We maintain backups to protect against data loss. You can export your data at any time from Settings, and you can request permanent deletion at any time.
In the current beta version, data may be stored locally on your device (via browser localStorage) rather than on our servers. This will transition to server-side storage before general availability, at which point this policy section will be updated and you will be notified.
When you interact with Klaire's AI — asking questions, requesting analysis, or receiving insights — your message is combined with a contextual summary of your financial data (account balances, recent transactions, bills, budgets, and goals) and sent to Anthropic's Claude AI API over an encrypted connection. This is what enables Klaire to give you personalised, relevant responses rather than generic answers.
Klaire does not store the full contents of every AI conversation on our servers beyond what is necessary to provide the service. Anthropic processes API requests under their own Privacy Policy and Terms of Use, available at anthropic.com. Anthropic does not use your data to train their models without your explicit consent under their standard API terms.
When you upload a document — bank statement, pay stub, bill, or receipt — the document is transmitted securely to Anthropic's Claude AI API for analysis and extraction of key figures. Klaire does not permanently store the uploaded document itself. Only the structured data you choose to save (transaction amounts, bill figures, etc.) is retained in your account. Do not upload documents containing passwords, private keys, or full Social Security Numbers.
When you use Klaire, we may automatically collect limited technical data to operate and improve the service: device type and operating system, app version, general usage patterns (which features are used, session length), and crash reports. This data is collected in aggregate and is not linked to your financial data. We do not use third-party advertising trackers or behavioural analytics SDKs.
Klaire may offer optional bank account linking through a regulated third-party financial data provider such as Plaid (plaid.com). If you choose to connect your bank, you will authenticate directly with that provider — Klaire never sees or stores your bank login credentials. The third-party provider's privacy policy governs their handling of your banking data. You can disconnect your bank at any time from Settings, which revokes Klaire's access to that data connection.
We use your data to: provide and personalise the Klaire service; generate AI-powered financial insights; send service notifications (bill reminders, subscription alerts); process subscription billing; improve Klaire's features and performance using aggregate, anonymised analytics; and respond to your support requests. We do not use your personal financial data to train AI models, sell to advertisers, or share with data brokers.
We do not sell your personal data. We share your data only in these limited circumstances: with Anthropic's API to process AI requests (sections 4 and 5); with your bank data provider if you opt in to bank linking (section 7); with payment processors (Stripe, Apple, or Google) to process subscription payments — they receive only what is necessary for billing; and if required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of our users or the public.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal financial data is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days. Anonymised, aggregate usage statistics may be retained longer for product improvement purposes. Billing records are retained as required by financial regulations.
Depending on your location, you may have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; correct inaccurate data; request deletion of your data; export your data in a portable format (available via Settings → Export); object to or restrict certain processing; and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise these rights, use the in-app tools in Settings or contact us through the app.
If you are in the European Economic Area, you have additional rights under GDPR. If you are in California, you have rights under CCPA/CPRA. We honour these rights regardless of your location where technically feasible.
Klaire is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If we become aware that a user is under 18, we will promptly delete their account and data.
We use industry-standard security practices including TLS encryption in transit, encryption at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no system is completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for notifying us promptly of any suspected unauthorised access.
If we make material changes to how we collect, use, or share your data, we will notify you via email and in-app notice at least 14 days before the changes take effect. For non-material changes, we will update the "Effective date" at the top of this policy.
